There are parts I agree, and just totally disagree with James Harrison(Steelers linebacker). Kids get trophies just for being apart of a team, for example a soccer team. I can totally relate, as a child I played soccer for my local recreation center. I still do, to this day, have my participation trophies. I also played for a travel volleyball team, we didn't get trophies, but rather we got ribbons depending on what place we came in. I do believe that it is a confidence boost, and I believe that kids should receive trophies for the end of the season sport. In the article, they mention that it could be bad on the children for getting trophies for "nothing". I believe that children should have the chance to live as kids! Clearly you cannot be treated as a kid your whole life, like getting a certificate just for applying to college, it doesn't work like that, and it just takes growing up and learning for children to learn that not everything is handed to them like it used to be. Since I have started at East Lake Cardiovascular, I have learned and faced problems I thought I wouldn't have to deal with until I was older. I learned that i need to be very careful with putting the correct paper work in each file, because i could really mess up a check up with a patient. I am much more alert when i put the paperwork away.
There are a lot of traits that businesses look for, although, some are more important than others. In my opinion, hard-working is one of the most important trait to have. If you are not a hard worker, you wont represent your company as best as you can. As an employee, you should not only make yourself look good, but for everyone who works with you. Being a hard worker can lead into other traits, like a leader. You can be a leader by having other employees watch you work so hard, they will see the outcome and would want the same for themselves. I can relate to working hard in my position, because I am mostly moving around on my feet, or going upstairs while carrying piles of files. My coworkers will never catch me complaining because I don't see work as miserable, I see it as an opportunity to do better than yesterday. I am determined at work to finish and do as much as I can.
There are many ways i have influences and made better choices for other people and myself. Being a leader means not doing what everyone else is doing because they think it is right, rather than doing what you know is right on your own. I can relate leadership and helping somebody, for example, i always make sure that i go to school everyday and have a job. It has rubbed on to my friends that they need to be doing something rather than school. If it involves a job or a sport or a hobby. My friends would always rely on me to help them, if it was to give them advice. My friend asked me if she should stick with dance or get a job. I told her that she has been doing dance forever, and if she had second thoughts on it, she should get a job and make money, and if she has enough time, then to start dance again. To this day, my friend works 2 jobs and couldn't be more happier, although she misses dance, she has learned a lot of skills from her employers. My experience this past week has been going very smoothly. I go into work and know what i need to do right away. I was taught another way to scan the papers into the computer, although it took me 5 minutes to comprehend that i wasn't doing it right. Eventually i got it and i can do it with my eyes closed. I'm really enjoying the experience i am having at the office.
This is a thank you letter to my employer, Rose Marie. It explains overall my experience of the job and what i come in and do everyday. The letter overall explains my feelings toward the people and how much i appreciate how my co workers help and respect me. I do not believe that any one can understand how great of a feeling it is to learn new stuff everyday. One day I know that all of the experience i have had will pay off and help me big time!
I like to say that i have reached my goal somewhat. The reason i say that is because I continue to work as hard as I can and although I do not ask to learn more, I'm starting to reach the point where they teach me new things without me asking. I plan to continue working there, although I have been thinking of looking for other offices with better opportunities. I haven't been completely sure on what i want to do yet. I will most likely end up staying at East lake Cardiovascular if they end up giving me more jobs. The responsibilities that i get at my job is that i get papers from the patients and look on the computer from the year that they had recently came into for an appointment. Then after i find the appointment then i write it on the file. After then, i find the file on the shelves and place the paper(s) in the correct spot of the file. That is what they call "pulling files", that's what i will most likely be doing to keep busy. I believe I have a few weaknesses and plenty of areas where i am strongest. My weakness can revolve around communication, I haven't introduced myself into any other worker or doctor and i wish i have. My strong points come in when i am actually at work, i get all my work done and i finish with confidence.
I read through all of the characters and found myself to be most like the Disney character like Tiana- from the Princess and The Frog. She had said, "Fairy tales can come true. You gotta make them happen, it all depends on you." Everything you do depends on what your steps of actions are, and how you come upon what you plan on doing. You have to put in the hard work and sweat to get to your goal. It doesn't come easy you have to put as much time as you can and work for it. The experience i have had so far has been partially good, i wish i could have more opportunities to learn more and talk to more of the doctors. I haven't been introduced into any doctor which is more bad on my person, but i plan to open up and introduce myself and seem interested in what they do. I have learned to pull files and what goes into files. I got the chance to put paper work into the files. Which putting the paper work into the files gives me a chance so sit down for a while because most of the time i am working i am walking around putting files in the correct spot.
This article is about how you can meet someone and they can change your whole day. At the end of the day you look back on what you did and you remember all the boredom and frustration at work. Well I really enjoyed reading this bucket list, It names off The humility shift- which means you can promote yourself on social media or other ways, and how you’re parents can make you feel good about your accomplishments. Next is self defeat- of course you can win battles and challenge other people and never have defeat, but if you find the person deep in yourself that can’t win, you’ll find all your weaknesses and can know everything you need to do. Those 2 were my favorite ones and you can definitely get a lot out of thinking about those situations. I can relate to this article because it shows how one person can influence you, and completely change your day. Kari, the lady i work with, helps me everyday and turns to me when she wants help with something, and its so cool learning and observing new things that i never thought i would be doing.
During my experience, I've learned so much. Although i don't get as much hands-on time as i wanted.. I still get to learn something new everyday. I was finally pulling files, where i look for the patients name and then i put papers in the file. Not as interesting as i put it, but it is truly an honor to be apart of this class. I have become closer to Carri, she was the one to show me and help me through-out the training.
